| Digital Body Language | Like our in-person physical body language, digital body language concerns the subtle cues that signal things like your attitude, level of engagement, intentions and expectations. We send these messages by email, text, on the phone or in a video call to name a few of the modes of digital communication. The way in which you communicate digitally says a lot about you. However, digital body language is more difficult to grasp and interpret than physical body language, which inevitably leads to misunderstandings. For effective communication in the workplace, it’s important to learn how to control your own, as well as your team’s digital body language. You can preread the book Digital Body Language by Erica Dhawan although not required. Feel free to bring your lunch to class. | |
