Building Foundations of Caregiving | Building Foundation of Caregiving explores the role of caregiver and changes they may experience, building a support team and managing caregiver stress. | |
Communicating Effectively | Communicating Effectively teaches how dementia affects communication, including tips for communicating well with family, friends and health care professionals. | |
DDMAT | This class is designed to provide certified training for direct care staff in licensed residential care facilities and licensed group homes which have the responsibility of administering medication to residents. Curriculum includes administration of medication, measuring and charting vital signs and understanding legal aspects. | |
DDMAT MAT Update | DDMAT/MAT requires 6 hours every two years of continuing education. Learn information that will assist you at work while meeting the annual requirement of completing at least eight hours of update training for those who have been certified as a Medication Administration Technician and are employed. This course is designed to increase your knowledge of medications, documentation, and the medication administration process. Review classifications of medications such as antibiotics, antihypertensive and diuretics. | |
EMS Instructor | The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Train-the-Trainer course is designed to equip experienced EMS professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to become effective trainers within the field of emergency medical services. This comprehensive course covers a range of topics essential for preparing individuals to train others in pre-hospital emergency care. | |
Exploring Care and Support Services | Exploring Care and Support Services examines how best to prepare for future care decisions and changes, including respite care, residential care and end of life care. | |
Firefighter 1 | This course provides basic knowledge and skills to successfully complete Firefighter I certification exam. The course includes an eight-hour live burn training and an eight-hour Firefighter I skills test. Hazmat Awareness and Hazmat Operations are needed to complete this certification. | |
Firefighter 2 | Provides advanced knowledge and skills to successfully complete Firefighter 2 certification exam. LPG alone will not work to fulfill requirements. | |
Firefighter Evaluator Class | Firefighter Evaluator class includes training for skills certification and paperwork process during the examinations. | |
Firefighter Proctor Class | Firefighter Proctor includes training on overseeing and administering examinations for firefighters to assess their knowledge and skills in various firefighting-related topics. This may involve instruction on setting up and monitoring exam environments, ensuring compliance with testing protocols, and maintaining the integrity of the examination process. | |
Intro to Medical Spanish | This introduction class will study clinically relevant medical Spanish. Training on the proper use of language and verbiage used by healthcare providers in multiple disciplines to bridge the language barrier between caregivers and patients. Begin with improving interview skills, understanding of patient responses and ability to assist Spanish-speaking patients. In class patient simulation opportunities will be provided. | |
Long Term Care Nurse Aid-Reporting Only Sessions | Utilize in person training to prepare for the LTCNA Skill and Written Exam. Master the skills to perform personal care for residents in nursing homes, assisted living centers and hospitals under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Upon completion, you will be eligible to take the certification exams for Long Term Care Nurse Aides CNA to be placed on the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s Nurse Aide Registry. Attendance during all classes and clinicals is required by state law. CPR and State certification tests are included in course fees. | |
Mental Health First Aid Training | Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based training that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges. Mental Health First Aiders are trained to be a nonjudgmental listening ear. Through reassurance, support and resources, Mental Health First Aiders talk with people experiencing mental health and substance use challenges and help illuminate the future for someone struggling now. This training is provided by Mental Health First Aid Oklahoma. Participants will receive a three-year digital certificate designating them as a Mental Health First Aider following successful completion of the course. Lunch is sponsored by Enid SHRM. This training is approved for the following CEUs: •CLEET-7.5 hours •SHRM-CP-7.5 hours •HRCI-7.5 hours •Social Workers-7.5 hours •LADC and CADC-7.5 hours •Case Managers, PRSS, LPC, LMFT, Psychologists-7.5 hours •CPS-7.5 hours *Other CEUs potentially available upon request. National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS) Training | Beginning November 1, 2025, Firefighters will be required to do reporting through the NERIS. This training is meant to review that program. | |
